1925 – Domaine Saint Firmin, Uzès

(2 customer reviews)

A celebratory edition, a red that evokes traditional wine making at its very best…

Categories: ,

A subtle blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache Noir from a niche winery in the fabulous medieval town of Uzès.

1925 was the year our estate was created by Marie and Pierre, our grandparents, and we wanted to create an original cuvée to celebrate. These four grape varieties, fermenting separately in oak barrels before being blended, then continue their ageing together for another nine months in these same barrels. This 1925 cuvée combines roundness and complexity, fruitiness and lightness. Enjoy well-integrated tannins, and a great nose. 1925 has a lighter colour like a Burgundy.

Perfect to accompany your aperitifs as well as your meals. We recommend grilled red meats – perhaps spicy or with Provençal herbs, charcuterie, duck breast and matured cheese.

Per case of 6 bottles. (No mixed cases).

Deliciously subtle blend of rich spice with a delicate weight.
Perfect as an accompaniment to flavourful cheese, or simply enjoyed

  2. Claire

We really enjoyed this wine. It was a lovely fruity wine which we drank with a Sunday roast which brought out the flavour beautifully.
